Walk Wahi Outdoor Challenge

Welcome to Spring! We are launching our first community event of 2021, in the beautiful Washington Heights, Manhattan.

Introducing - The Wahi Walk Outdoor Challenge

We challenge you to get outdoors and explore your neighborhood with your family and pets, with a local challenge to get you started.

The Walk Wahi Outdoor Challenge will be on for 2 weeks, and span across 187th street and Fort Washington Avenue all the way down to Columbia Medical Center on 169th St and Fort Washington.

We have pet and people-friendly products for purchase at the CJ+BB Shop, to make your walk a little more fun! VIEW CJ+BB

HOW THE CHALLENGE WORKS

The outdoor challenge is designed to be enjoyed with your family and/or pets by sharing fun things to do across the areas below. Complete each task, share on social media and earn prizes! Tag us on social media so we can track all your adventures!

Download and/or print the challenge map after registration for what you need to do.

Follow the path from start to finish or make your own way around earning prizes on completion in each challenge area. You have two weeks to complete as many challenges as you can!

Challenge 1: Stop by Bennett park at 185th between Bennett Ave & Ft Washington and complete the obstacle course and discovery challenges

Challenge 2: Follow the challenge map, making your way down to 169th and Haven (by the Barnes and Nobles next to Columbia Hospital), completing the discovery tasks along the way.

Challenge 3: Take your pup through the BB Pup Challenge Course on 169th & Haven and share videos/photos with us.

At the end of 2 weeks ( April 18th), we will check how everyone did and give prizes for all your hard work! Be sure to tag us when completing each challenge with:

Broadway Bitches started over 10 years ago in Washington Heights and now serves pups from Lincoln Center to Inwood. Broadway Bitches strives to enrich the lives of every dog and owner they meet by introducing and reinforcing structure as a way of life, via pack walks and even out-of-city adventures. They believe communication and respect are the cornerstones of any relationship, so they nurture and reinforce those building blocks with every visit to your dog to help them understand their role in a pack.

Café Bark was born from the desire to express love for our furry companions. They give us so much and ask so little. For Patricia, Stephanie and Chris, our four legged kids deserve so much, so this little space is dedicated to Petunia, Channel and Gunther. Come share this with us and help carve out our little corner of doggie heaven.

“In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn’t merely try to train him to be semi human. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog.” - Edward Hoagland (American Author)
